The Modellers Name New President and COO

US market research and advanced analytics firm The Modellers has named former Harris Interactive executive Mark Wirthlin as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mark WirthlinWirthlin has more than 25 years' marketing, advertising and research experience. Before joining, he held a variety of consulting, marketing and management positions and founded his own consultancy. Prior to this, he was SVP, Sr Consultant at Harris Interactive, COO at his family's political polling firm Wirthlin Worldwide (before it was sold to Harris Interactive), CMO at Woodcraft, President of The Woodworkers Club and a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble and Kraft General Foods.

His particular expertise is in branding, reputation, positioning, strategic planning, communications, advertising and new product development. During his career he has lived and worked in Japan, and he speaks fluent Japanese. He holds a BA in Japanese from Brigham Young University, and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Modellers is headquartered in Salt Lake City, with additional US offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Minneapolis and San Francisco and a European operation in Switzerland. The firm is currently projecting a 30% increase in sales in 2009.
