US developer SmarterTools has rolled out the latest edition of its web analytics software SmarterStats, which aims to help businesses enhance their SEO (search engine optimization) strategy and attract new web site visitors.
Version 5.x includes functions for improving search engine ranging and visibility, tracking visitor trends, on-page behaviour and conversions, and for comparing a site against those of competitors.
In addition, the tool separates real traffic from spider and bot traffic, providing companies with web site statistics that reflect actual customer behavior.
‘Your website is your storefront, and how you prepare your store for business will have a direct impact on how well your business will do online,’ says CEO Tim Uzzanti. ‘Ignoring SEO is like having no signs and blank windows in your building. Potential customers will drive past your store, not even realizing you are there.’
