Conversition Launches Social Media Tool

In the US, online market research firm Conversition has launched a social media market research product called evolisten.

Tessie TingConversition was founded last year by Ipsos and NPD executives Jean Davis and Tessie Ting to apply scientific principles to the collection and analysis of social media data.

Their new tool sources and identifies relevant social media data, which is then funneled through numerous data quality processes, analyzed with a proprietary 'hierarchical sentiment engine', and sampled and weighted.

The product tracks more than 600 measures and their norms on a daily basis - including marketing mix measures (product, placement, pricing, promotion) and the traditional research measures of purchasing, recommendations and trial.

Ting comments: 'Clients feel really comfortable with evolisten because they have the choice of carrying out their own analyses with the customized portal or they can choose a product from our full service products.'

The new tool includes a suite of products for brand equity, usage and attitude, segmentation, ad and campaign tracking, and customer experience research needs.
