Virtual Customer Tracker Upgraded

January 11 2010

In New York, real-time consumer behavior specialist First Insight has unveiled the latest version of its Virtual Customer Viewpoint (VCV) solution, which promises to help retailers improve product selections, forecast future sales and assess price points.

VCV aims to help retailers and brands to convert investments in social media and social networks into two-way conversations with consumers. The system examines these online conversations and consumer activities to provide retailers with information to help them decide what to sell, and where, how, and to whom they should sell it.

Deployed as an SaaS solution, VCV offers guidance on decisions made throughout an item's complete lifecycle - from pre-season design, configuration, pricing, and assortment decisions, to targeted marketing and one-to-one selling in-season.

'VCV provides real-time tracking of consumer trends and changes in how they value specific products,' notes VP of Products, Aaron Brauser. 'It enables communication to help retailers more successfully bring the products to market that fit their customer lifestyles.'
