Social Media Firm Joins Environics

January 18 2010

Social media analysis company Exvisu Canada is joining the Environics group of companies, and will now be known as Nexalogy Environics Inc.

The founders and partners of Exvisu will continue in their roles. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Exvisu was founded in 2006 and has a staff of six based in Montréal.

Environics President Michael Adams says the new addition 'brings exciting new skills and insight to ensure we can provide clients with a 360 degree perspective on consumer attitudes and behaviour.'

The new firm will provide filtering and analysis of social media to identify key influences on brands, helping with reputation management, product marketing, recruiting, brand management, lead generation and other communications and marketing activities.

Claude Théoret, President of Nexalogy Environics, says the firm combines advanced data mining techniques with 'rigorous human analysis' to help clients make sense of the data and what to do next.

The Environics Group has almost 200 staff in the USA and Canada, in offices in Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Washington, D.C. Other Group companies include Environics Research, Environics Analytics, Environics Communications, Capital-Image and Sequentia Environics.
