GfK Integrates dmrkynetec

UK-headquartered dmrkynetec – which specialises in market research for the crop protection, biotech and animal health industries – will now operate as GfK Kynetec, following its acquisition by GfK Group.

Stephen HearnFor more than 50 years, dmrkynetec and its legacy companies, Doane Market Research and Kynetec Limited (which were merged in 2007) have provided both syndicated and custom research to agricultural and animal health industry manufacturers. The company’s staff of 150 provides custom research services and a number of syndicated annual research studies throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The company, which has been partially owned by GfK since 2008, says the integration will enable its clients to call on the experience of thousands of GfK research executives, as well as share in best practices from GfK’s expertise in sectors such as media, retail, finance, healthcare and automotive.

‘Becoming part of a large global research organization was a natural evolution in our company’s growth strategy,’ explains Stephen Hearn, CEO of GfK Kynetec and a founder of dmrkynetec. ‘Now operating as GfK Kynetec, we will collaborate with our GfK colleagues around the world to provide additional client support using the best, most innovative research tools and methodologies that have proven success in other industries.’

GfK Kynetec will maintain its worldwide staff and headquarters in Newbury, Berkshire, UK, as well as its operations in St Louis, Missouri, US; existing offices throughout Europe; and those in the Asia Pacific region.

The company’s leadership team will remain in their current roles, including Jonathan Crowe as Director, Asia; Dr. Antony Goulds as Director, European Information Products; Carol Willey, Director, European ad hoc; and Brian Hagan, EVP, USA.
