Decision Resources Buys BioTrends

US pharmaceutical and health care specialist Decision Resources has acquired BioTrends Research Group, which provides syndicated and custom market research services to mid-size pharma markets. Terms were not disclosed. Exton, PA-headquartered BioTrends, which serves the US, Canada, Europe and Latin America, works with nearly every medical specialty, but focuses on five areas: Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Immunology/Infectious Disease, Nephrology, and Rheumatology. Decision Resources says the acquisition will ‘significantly expand’ the Portfolio Planning segment of its recently formed Biopharma business unit. Jason LaBonte, newly appointed COO of Biopharma Portfolio Planning and Optimization said: ‘This important acquisition expands the breadth of our disease coverage.
