GfK Mobile Tracker for Ireland

GfK Retail and Technology have announced the launch of their Mobile Telecom retail panel in the Republic of Ireland, tracking the country's mobile market sales for the first time.

Already operating in over 75 countries globally, the service provides information on pricing and product mix, and details of the best selling handsets and tariffs. Sales information is taken directly from EPOS records provided to GfK through its retailer and operator partners to produce 'the definitive statistical view' of the industry.

GfK Commercial Director Anthony Norman says the launch brings data and analysis 'of benefit to the entire industry' but also emphasises the group's commitment to global expansion.
