Kantar's web analytics firm Compete has appointed former AOL Insights Director Margaret Hung as International Managing Director, to oversee its services in international markets and facilitate partnerships with sister firms across the globe.
Boston, MA-based Compete was founded in 2000 and acquired by Kantar company TNS for $75m in 2008. The firm conducts continuous analysis of 'clickstream' data on the Internet behaviour of several million people, weighted to match the US online population.
Hung joins with more than 12 years' experience in brand and advertising research. Most recently she worked at AOL, where she oversaw new research initiatives to demonstrate return on media investments. Previously, she held senior research positions at Dynamic Logic, Ipsos, Synovate Asia and Gallup.
In her new role, Hung will report directly to Compete President Scott Ernst, while working closely with the executive team to develop strategies and identify key target countries for Compete's global expansion.
'Margaret has an incredible background and industry experience that combines both traditional and digital research,' said Ernst. 'Her analytical insights will be a huge asset to Compete as we identify and target companies for our international expansion.'
