European Growth for Visible Technologies

May 19 2010

Social media monitoring and engagement firm Visible Technologies has announced the opening of a London headquarters to lead its expansion into Europe.

Craig Gordon takes the role of MD, EMEA and will be supported by Andrew Grill, UK Head of Sales and Business Development.

Visible Technologies helps companies assess and engage with social media, offering a full suite of solutions to proactively manage conversations. Its European expansion is fuelled by $22m in funding secured in January 2010 and led by Investor Growth Capital. WPP is among other investors in the company.

Between them, Grill and Gordon have more than thirty years of international technology and business management experience. Gordon led European operations for CRM software company Talisma Group, as well as Redwood, and McLaren Software, while Grill was among the first active advocates of using social media tools for brand development in companies such as Telstra and Optus.

CEO Dan Vetras comments: 'We have seen tremendous momentum for our solutions in the US and recognise the significant opportunity in Europe to help companies build their brand online by monitoring and engaging with social media conversations.' Gordon says the firm is seeing increased demand for its solution 'from European brands directly, our agency partners and through the WPP network'.

The company's suite of solutions includes online conversation monitor truPULSE; truVOICE and truSEARCH, which add the capacity to participate in discussions and to directly access and analyse social media data archives; and professional services and reports via truINSIGHT.
