DIY Analysis Tool Launched

In the US, a team of consumer marketers and market researchers have launched skuuber.com; a DIY online tool to aid consumer product market analysis.

San Diego-based Skuuber delivers research and market insight, including the competitive and channel information needed to bring a product to market, to re-launch or refresh an existing product, or to benchmark against a competitor.

Reported results are summarized by a 'Skuuber Score', which translates a range of data into a retail sales potential number.

The firm claims that a complete consumer product market analysis project can be launched from a user's PC in less than 15 minutes, with results available in days.

These results are generated by a survey of 1500 consumers representing the US consumer population, and combined with predictive modeling using industry-benchmarking data.

Skubber's team is led by founder and CEO Rick Hill, who has 30 years' marketing experience in the packaged goods, foodservice and consumer technology industries.

'There are a variety of reasons why businesses conduct so little market analysis in support of new product launches,' states Hill. 'Skuuber will, at last, help clients understand their destination, whether the trip is worth taking and how best to get there.'
