Vodafone Romania has added a quant research capability to its mobile advertising service AdPlus.
The firm says 'SMS Survey' will enable research companies and their clients to reach a large number of respondents at any given hour and select according to sex, age and location (urban or rural).
The 'dynamic' surveys allow routing and can include around six questions, Vodafone says.
Vodafone ran a demo poll of three questions covering the FIFA World Cup, using a sample of 2,773 customers and achieving a response rate of 8% - within the normal range of 5-12% for SMS polls, the company says. The survey was conducted in partnership with Brennan Research & Consultants, which uses the tool under the name of 'SMS Monitor'.
