comScore Opens in Madrid

Online audience specialist comScore has opened an office in Madrid, from which it will service the Spanish and Portuguese market. The new operation will be led by media specialist Jaime Agulló as General Manager for Iberia.

Jaime Agulló'Spain is one of the most sophisticated markets with the greatest potential in Europe,' explains Mike Read, MD for comScore Europe. 'The new office adds to our presence in the UK, France, Germany and Turkey, as well as our operations in Latin America, Canada, Asia Pacific and the US.'

Agulló most recently worked at the Digital Measurement Council, created by AIMC/IAB. Prior to this, he was head of the consulting division at Zenith Optimedia, and worked as Director of Research at Starcom MediaVest, and at Aegis Media and Vizeum.

He is supported by Laura Martin Aguirre, who joined the firm two years ago as Sales Manager, from her previous roles as Research Manager at Yahoo! Spain and Client Service Manager at Nielsen//NetRatings.

In Spain, comScore provides information about consumers' consumption of digital media through an Internet panel of more than 27,000. Additionally, the firm is implementing its new hybrid measurement UDM (Unified Digital Measurement) product in Spain, to integrate sample data from panellists and census data from web sites.
