Software Firm's Directors Cook Up New Agency

In the UK, Eventus Software Directors Cathrene Rowell and Kevin Simpson have set up a new company, CaKe Research, to offer both platform-only and full-service online qualitative research services.

CaKe's methodologies include online focus groups/depths and online bulletin boards - these use Eventus Software's platforms and online community technology. In addition, the company offers platform rental and online moderation training, as well as full service qual projects and report / presentation delivery.

Services can be implemented alone or in combination for web site evaluation, new product development, brand perception studies, concept testing, customer satisfaction research, and advertising evaluation.

Rowell brings ten years' online qual and quant market research and moderation experience to the new venture. During her career, she has worked as a Director at mo'web, and held senior research roles at agencies: at random international, Gelszus Marktforschung, and RMM, as well as running her own consultancy.

Simpson has more than 20 years' experience in business development and marketing. He founded Eventus Software last year, since which time he has launched a number of products including the 'Room With A View' online focus group application; 'Comment' bulletin board; Web 2.0 'Survey Builder'; and 'Branded Online Community Builder' which enables users to build their own online community.
