First Viral, Now Fungal Marketing?

Marketing agency JB Chicago has launched a new social networking tool called Social Mushroom, promising help with getting established on social media sites and simple measurement of the success and ROI of the resulting campaigns.

Steve GaitherSocial Mushroom is positioned as an integrated social media tool combining marketing - helping clients to become established on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter - with measurement, and ultimately helping clients to increase sales. Clients to date include Axe Deodorant and Tetra Pak.

The agency also offers a separate Social Mushroom agency model for use by advertising and marketing firms.

According to company President Steve Gaither, 'Measuring campaign effectiveness has long been an obstacle of using social media. With Social Mushroom, organizations can ensure their social media efforts are reaching the right audiences and most importantly having a positive bottom-line impact on their organizations.'
