SourceMedia Opens Research and Data Unit

New York-based SourceMedia - which publishes The American Banker magazine - has opened a syndicated research and data unit, to operate in tandem with its existing news and analysis, events and custom media operations.

The new unit's initial focus will be to expand the data tools and content offered under the American Banker brand. It will be led by Managing Director of Research & Data Jim Moore, who explains: 'SourceMedia's subscribers have proven their willingness to participate in surveys and other collaborative research efforts that give us a significant advantage in building cooperative research databases and business tools.'

Moore joins the firm with more than 30 years' experience in formulating, growing and managing subscription-based data and research businesses. He is the former Chairman and CEO of financial and market data analytics specialist Highline Financial, where he was responsible for re-engineering the company's web platform and databases.
