In Florida, USA, data collection firm Echo Stats has announced a new service, the Annual Benchmark Performance Framework Study.
President Travis Harvey told a press conference that marketing performance benchmarking was 'grossly under-utilized', possibly because many departments shy away from what is effectively a 'report card' measuring their performance; but that the insight gained could give an invaluable boost against competitors.
Harvey says Echo believes performance benchmarks should be conducted yearly and incorporated into the strategic planning process.
Established in 2005, Echo offers focus groups, surveys and other data collection techniques. The firm set up an NPD division in June and earlier this month opened a Miami office where it plans to establish a division specializing in multicultural marketing research.
