Galceran Joins TNS in Regional CEO Role

TNS has hired Synovate's former CEO Iberia and Latin America Ignacio Galceran as Regional CEO Latin America, and a member of its Global Executive Committee. He joins the firm in October and takes up his new post next January.

A native of Argentina, Galceran has more than 20 years' market research industry experience, the last 18 of which were gained while based in the US. Prior to joining Synovate, he worked for Roper ASW (now part of GFK).

Galceran will be relocating to Sao Paulo, Brazil from his current home in Miami, and will report to CEO Pedro Ross, who comments: 'I'm delighted that Ignacio will be joining TNS and am confident that his extensive industry experience and knowledge of Latin America will help us to continue to strengthen our position within this critical market'.

Galceran replaces Wander Meijer, who has been responsible for the region for the last four years, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. TNS said in a statement that it will be announcing details of Meijer's new role in the coming weeks.

Yesterday, Synovate announced it had promoted Enrique Domingo to fill Galceran's former post.
