Leger Hires Chakrapani to Head Toronto Office

Canadian-owned market research firm Leger Marketing has hired former Millward Brown Canada CEO Dr Chuck Chakrapani as Executive Vice President and President of its Toronto office.

Dr Chuck ChakrapaniFounded in 1986, Leger employs more than 500 staff, and offers its services across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Quebec City, Ottawa, Edmonton and Calgary) and in the US (Philadelphia, Denver and Tampa).

Chakrapani is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University, and serves as Chief Knowledge Officer of the Blackstone Group in Chicago. He was previously CEO of Millward Brown Canada.

During his career, Chakrapani has also held numerous academic positions including Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Commercial Activity, where he now serves as the Industry Advisor; and at the London Business School in England, McMaster University, University of Guelph and University of Liverpool.

He is a former Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Marketing Research, and currently edits Marketing Research, a quarterly publication of the American Marketing Association. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Marketing Research Institute International of the University of Georgia, and is Master Editor for the Principles of Marketing Research Course.
