Itracks Launches Video Focus Groups

October 7 2010

Online data collection specialist Itracks has released a new qualitative research solution that simulates in-person focus groups, using streaming video technology.

Dan WeberSaskatoon, Canada-based Itracks recently rolled out 'Itracks Social Media Monitoring', which captures data from sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and then organizes it to help users develop their research design or monitor their clients' activity.

The new 'Video Focus Group' application - which has been developed specifically for concept testing, ideation, customer feedback and web site usability testing - uses video streaming technology to provide advanced reporting for marketing and market research professionals.

It enables users to conduct one-on-one or group interviews, with scripts available immediately after the session is finished. In addition, the software is supplied with mark-up tools, polling, real-time chat, observer access and live technical support.

President Dan Weber says the launch is the second in a series of product releases to be rolled out before the end of the year, adding: 'The Itracks team has never been more committed to creating a positive experience for qualitative researchers'.
