Newspoll Founder Returns to the Fray

October 11 2010
In Australia, Newspoll founder Sol Lebovic is back in business as an independent consultant, advising clients on the design, conduct and analysis of opinion polls and market research surveys.

Quoted on www.amsrs.com.au , Lebovic comments: ‘More and more companies and organisations are now conducting opinion polls because they recognise their value in lobbying and helping shape community opinions and attitudes. Polls done well can be a very powerful tool but poorly conducted surveys can be damaging.'

Lebovic has more than 35 years’ experience in the industry. He established Newspoll in 1985 and ran it for more than two decades, building it into on of the country’s best known names in polling, with client service offices in Sydney, Melbourne & Canberra and a network of associate companies in Australia and around the world.

He resigned from the company in 2007 and has since kept a relatively low profile apart from consulting work on opinion polls for the Lowy Institute. Past industry positions include Director of AMSRS, President of AMSRO and Australian ESOMAR rep. He is a fellow of AMSRS.
