In Beijing, web, video and search analytics firm Gridsum Technology has completed a Series A financing round, which it will use to accelerate the distribution of its products and services in China, the US and other international markets.

Gridsum Secures Funding for Analytics Roll OutGridsum's services help businesses track, analyze and optimize their online marketing campaigns across web sites, search engines and online video. Since 2009, online buzz measurement specialist iCrossing has distributed the company's technology, and in 2007, Microsoft selected Gridsum as a member of its 'BizSpark One' startup program.

This latest round of funding has been led by Walt Disney Company venture capital firm Steamboat Ventures. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Last year, Steamboat Ventures led a Series B round of funding for social analytics specialist Sometrics, which develops technology to enable publishers, game developers and advertisers to analyze user data and better target their audiences.
