comScore Hires Jephcott to Lead IAB Australia Bid

In Australia, online measurement specialist comScore has appointed audience research veteran Jonathan Jephcott as a consultant to lead its bid to become the IAB Australia's sole supplier for the planning, buying and reporting of online audience measurement.

Jonathan JephcottMost recently, Jephcott headed panel research at Tolunay Wong Engineers in Texas, prior to which, he served in several positions at Synovate, including EVP for the firm's online business ViewsNet, Head of Media Research, and Regional Director for Operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Before this, he was VP and International Research Director of Media Metrix, which was acquired by comScore in 2002. Earlier, he was MD of Jupiter MMXI, Joint MD and Technical Director at Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) TV research in Australia, and worked for AC Nielsen as Technical Director for the Pacific Region.

Additionally, Jephcott is a founding member of the ARF Online Research Council, Chairman of the ARF Online Quality Metrics committee, and a member of the ESOMAR Advisory Council on Online Standards.

In his new role, he will lead comScore's bid for the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia Digital Audience Tender.

The firm is already the sole provider of site content vetting on behalf of the Internet Advertising Sales Houses (IASH) in the UK - a council of the IAB founded to police the activities of sales houses.
