Kantar Retail Names EMEA Insights Director

In London, WPP-owned consulting business Kantar Retail has appointed Bryan Roberts as Director, Retail Insights for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Bryan RobertsKantar Retail was formed in 2009, through the amalgamation of consultancies Retail Forward (which formerly operated as a unit of TNS), MVI, Cannondale Associates, and Glendinning Management Consultants. The business operates with 400 employees across 15 markets, and has more 300 clients among retailers and branded manufacturers.

Roberts joins with 15 years' experience of covering retail sectors and trends around the world, for a variety of retail analysis firms.

Most recently, he worked at Planet Retail, where for the past eight years as Global Research Director, he led the Analyst Team and specialised in food, drug and mass retail channel insights. Prior to this, he was Senior European Retail Analyst at Mintel, and served as an Analyst at Retail intelligence.

In his new role, Roberts will lead the company's EMEA division and oversee development and marketing for Kantar Retail Market Insights products and research throughout Europe.
