AMS Launches Video Ad Auditing Solution

In the US, Automated Media Services (AMS) has launched video verification technology providing audited confirmation of digital video play and performance.

The AMS ad platformNew Jersey-based AMS is creator of an out-of-home television advertising and media platform called 3GTv Networks. The screens, which can be sited in malls or clipped to supermarket shelves, can be used to show commercials for relevant products.

By adopting the new PlayScan auditing service, media companies can measure the return on DOOH (digital out-of-home) advertising. The tool, which is integrated into its platform and provides confirmation as to whether or not video ads have played correctly, has been developed by the firm's New Media Measurement division.

'The PlayScan measurement system will become the gold standard for accountability, compliance and measurability that advertisers will expect with all of their DOOH media investments,' states CEO Bob Wolinsky. 'We expect global demand for this technology could exceed $500 million.'

In 2011, AMS plans to expand its media measurement division with the unveiling of a new measurement service offering real-time in-store audience auditing and analytics for the DOOH industry.
