Social Media Analysis Launch for New UK Firm

In the UK, social media monitoring firm Trevanian Legg has launched a service to gather and analyse unprompted comments about brands from a wide range of social media platforms.

Nigel LeggBristol-based Trevanian Legg was founded in August by Nigel Legg, who has ten years' experience in data collection and analysis working for companies including Pulse Group, Voxco, Memphis International, RONIN and ORC International, as well as running Katugas Research. For the past two years, he has specialised in social media strategy development.

His firm's new 'Social Media Research' product is based on Alterian SM2 and covers all forms of social media, including Twitter, blogs, social networks, mainstream media and bulletin boards.

'We specialise in developing data for clients which can be effectively used for competitive positioning, brand protection, marketing measurement, market segmentation, and campaign audits,' Legg explains. 'These can be either one-off studies for a given historic period, or continuous tracking studies, with weekly reporting.'
