BI Firm Opens in Latin America

Manthan Systems, which provides Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics solutions for the retail and consumer goods industries, has announced the opening of a Latin America office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, headed as VP of Latin America by Patroclos Prasinos.

Manthan produces analytic solutions under the brand name ARC, to help global retail and CPG organizations with their strategic decision-making. The company says the new office is part of its ongoing effort to expand sales and services support on a global level and provide local language assistance.

Prasinos, who will oversee all aspects of sales and operations within Latin America, worked previously as Country General Director for JDA Software in Brazil, on projects for large Retail and CPG clients; and earlier as CFO and CIO of discount retail start-up Econ Supermarkets.

Peter Charness, President of Manthan Americas, says the opening is a recognition of the 'strong potential in Business Intelligence and analytics business' and underlines the firm's commitment to the region and to serving as 'a long term partner with the Latin American Retail and CPG industry'.
