Simpson Carpenter Opens Healthcare Wing

January 11 2011

UK consultancy Simpson Carpenter has launched a new healthcare and pharmaceutical research division, headed by Anna Sawka who joins from Aequus Research. Further appointments are planned for early 2011.

Anna SawkaWimbledon-based Simpson Carpenter specialises in providing insight to automotive, retail and technology, media, and telecoms clients in the UK and further afield.

With the launch of its new division, the company says it will bring a more consumer centric focus to traditional pharma research. In addition to offering a full range of qual and quant methodologies, the new team's capabilities will include advanced analysis such as conjoint and segmentation modelling.

Sawka brings more than 12 years' pharma MR experience to her new role as Head of Healthcare Research, and will lead the company's entry into the market as well as heading up the team of specialists.

Before joining, Sawka held director level positions at Aequus, Genactis and Martin Hamblin, where in addition to assisting companies with tactical business issues such as communication platform development and testing, she gained experience in strategic market assessment projects for early development and pipeline products.

Simpson Carpenter MD Tom Simpson welcomed Sawka to the team, adding: 'Anna's experience within the healthcare sector is extensive and she has an extremely strong track record of building strong client relationships. The combination of Simpson Carpenter's deep understanding of consumer behaviour and attitudes with the expertise of a highly experienced team of pharma market researchers should be an exciting proposition for forward thinking healthcare companies.'
