Kantar Names Media Monitoring COO

In London, Kantar Media has appointed Giselle Bodie for the new position of Chief Operations Officer for Media Monitoring and Evaluation in Europe.

Giselle BodieThe firm is established in more than 50 countries and provides analysis of print, radio, TV, Internet, cinema, mobile, social media and outdoor worldwide. Its four global business sectors are Audiences, Intelligence, TGI and Custom.

Bodie joins with a background of managing media intelligence service organisations. Most recently she ran her own consultancy whose offer included qual client surveys, training and market analysis. Prior to this, she spent three years at media and PR industry software provider Cision (formerly Romeike), latterly as MD; and 12 years as MD of comms specialist Echo Research.

In her new role, she will work closely with international staff to pilot a new approach and standards for media evaluation. She will also work with the new international Insight Team, and will be responsible for the European roll out of Kantar Media's social and traditional media analysis arm Cymfony.

Bodie will report to to Jean-Michel Portail, CEO of Kantar Media Intelligence Europe, who comments: 'Giselle's recruitment shows our determination to develop a new go-to-market strategy for media intelligence based on a deep understanding of clients' existing and future needs.
