Attentio Buys 365Research

Social monitoring and research company Attentio has finalised the acquisition of 365Research - both are based in Brussels. 365 founder Colin Sanders becomes Chief Product Officer at Attentio, which is planning a new version of its 'Brand Dashboard' in the spring.

Sanders, who served as an advisor to Attentio in its early days and has since worked on projects with the firm, will now be responsible for readying its next generation of products. The remainder of the 365Research team has also already relocated to Attentio's headquarters.

Attentio says the new dashboard will speed up social media feedback and deliver it at 'a great new price point'.

Quoted on www.socialmarketingforum.net , CEO Simon McDermott describes the new arrivals as 'such a sharp and creative group' and comments: '...the market for social media insight has grown exponentially in the last couple of years but this is just the beginning, especially in Europe. Our clients need access to real customer insights from these sources (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums and Comments) and we look forward to continue building a great Software as a Service (SaaS) dashboard for this purpose'.

Sanders says the impact of social media is 'the greatest change in the landscape' in his twenty years in market research.
