GutCheck Debuts DIY Online Qual Platform

March 2 2011

US-based GutCheck has introduced a do-it-yourself online qualitative market research platform, to enable companies or individuals to test their ideas, services and campaigns in real-time.

Matt WartaDenver, Colorado-based GutCheck launched last October with a $2m Series A investment, which it has since used to roll out the new platform while supporting its sales and marketing strategy, and growing the number of participants in its online panel.

The firm says its platform is the first to enable real-time experience-based (qual) feedback online, and make that feedback available to anyone from established agencies to start-ups wanting to test their marketing strategy.

Companies or individuals can use GutCheck's Recruitment Engine to filter through a database of more than five million potential participants (by age, income, geography, etc), and select target respondents for their panel.

They can then submit questions and any related media (such as photos and videos) to each participant with a single click, and save feedback in a transcript after the session is complete.

'GutCheck's Recruitment Engine lets you find exactly the right people and ask them the questions that will help you make better decisions,' states founder and CEO Matt Warta. 'With GutCheck, we've leveraged the Internet and other technologies to blow up the market's conventional wisdom, and like much on the Internet, we've greatly lowered the cost as well.'
