Specific Media Hires News International Insights Man

March 14 2011

In the UK, next generation digital media platform Specific Media has appointed Chris Worrell, previously Insight Manager at News International, as its new European Research Manager.

Specific promises to connect brands with their audiences across all digital formats. The company uses consumer intelligence in combination with targeting software for reach and segmentation.

In the newly created role, Worrell will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the company's new research strategy and for producing in-depth consumer insight research and bespoke analysis for clients.

At News International, Worrell established and ran the pioneering flagship Consumer Eye and Brand Eye insight projects and commissioned the first paywall advertising research project. Prior to this he was a researcher at The Publishing Consultancy.

Worrell said: 'Specific Media's recent growth and future plans mean this is an exciting time to be joining the company. The size and quality of their network means Specific Media generate an enviable volume of data - but they've also been market leaders in interpreting that data and creating meaningful, actionable insight for clients.'

Ian Dowds, VP UK, Specific Media, said: 'Chris's appointment will ensure we continue to have the best quality analysis at our finger tips. His experience of orchestrating insight programmes that span consumer trends and communication effectiveness will allow us to offer tailored insight and analysis that will make a real difference to our clients.'
