E-Tabs Seeks Abolition of Table Slavery

Report automation software supplier E-Tabs has launched Verify, an automated tabulations checker developed by DP professionals.

As www.mrweb.com/mrt/pre11feb.htm revealed by the firm's CEO Benjamin Rietti in MrWeb in February, the company has been working on the product for five years and believes it to be the first of its kind.

The new tool enables users, as standard, to check frequencies, percentages, hole counts, bases, means, standard deviations and other stats, nets and banners. Alternatively they can create their own more complex checks with Verify Designer. The results not only verify correct values, but also pinpoint incorrect values as well as highlighting 'suspicious' results.

The company conducted trials for both speed and accuracy with a typical deck containing 60 tables, with over 3,000 cells of frequencies and percentage values taking under 20 seconds for the out-of-the-box checks.

Rietti said: 'Until now few technologies have existed to improve data quality for data processing and reporting. Verify eliminates the typically time consuming, error prone and inefficient Quality Checking process and replaces it with a robust 3 simple steps, assuring data accuracy and enabling MR companies to focus their efforts on providing insights.'
