In the UK, Havas-owned digital agency Media Contacts has launched a dedicated social media unit called Socialyse, which will create measureable social campaigns based on insight derived from consumer data.
The firm says the 'analyse' element of the new brand points to the 'strong heritage' the firm has in the analytics space. This will be central to the Socialyse offering, which will combine technology and monitoring tools with the skills of dedicated social analysts to measure the impact of social activity.
Socialyse will offer a full suite of social media communications across paid, earned and owned media, and will work in tandem with Mobext - Media Contacts' dedicated mobile division.
Pilar Barrio, formerly Head of Social at Aegis, joins to lead a team of ten specialists, who will work with content, SEO and mobile experts from across the group, to develop client communications strategies.
Paul Frampton, MD at MPG Media Contacts comments: 'Our mantra is to build social campaigns around powerful insights. We feel that analysis in to human behaviour and appropriate measurement in social is lacking, which is where Socialyse comes in.'
The opening of Socialyse follows Havas' recent launch of a social media division led by Havas Head of Social Media Neil Kleiner, supported by former IAB exec Amy Kean.
