Speed-Trap Becomes Celebrus Technologies

April 12 2011

UK-based Speed-Trap, which monitors and evaluates online behaviour, has re-branded as Celebrus Technologies Limited, to reflect changes in its technology offer and assist with promotion and international expansion.

Simon BurtonFounded in 1999, the firm captures real-time data on individual online visitor behaviour from any mobile or laptop browser, and uses this to drive cross-channel behavioural targeting and personalisation.

Additionally, the company has developed 'Customer Data Hubs' as a platform through which to maintain records of customers' and visitors' behaviours and experiences. These records typically contain a 'customer profile' for each visitor which includes static information such as name, address, account number etc; as well as 'behavior records' that log individuals undertaking specific actions such as purchasing or searching for products, or registering on a site.

MD Simon Burton comments on the re-brand: 'We concluded that given the changing nature of the technology we provide and the solutions that it supports it was time for a new name and a new positioning in the market. We hope that Celebrus Technologies will become synonymous with the Customer Data Hub over time and we will be working with our international business partners to develop our offerings to reflect this position.'
