Intellitracker Becomes Cognesia as Strategy Shifts

April 14 2011

In the UK, online analytics and visitor behaviour specialist Intellitracker has changed its name to Cognesia, reflecting a shift in focus towards behavioural targeting.

New logo, new focusDavid Hudson, Director of Sales and Marketing, explains: 'Over the last 2-3 years, our original singular focus on web analytics has given way to a broader focus on site optimisation, visitor profiling, and behavioural targeting. We see our product range becoming more action oriented, with a focus on improving engagement through personalisation.'

Founded in 1997 and based in central London, the company says its new name roughly translates as 'intelligent recall'. 'The name Cognesia perfectly describes what it is we now do, and our plans for the future,' adds Hudson.

The company's web site will move from www.intellitracker.com to www.cognesia.com in the next couple of weeks.
