Novi Adds Off-line Data Collection Option

April 18 2011

Survey software provider Novi Systems has released an off-line data collection module for its flagship Novi Survey software package.

Boston, US-based Novi Systems is a privately held company established in 2006, providing online survey and form data collection software. The new module allows for the upload of surveys on laptops and tablet computers and for data collection without an Internet connection, allowing for interviews in locations where connection is non-existent or unreliable: data is synchronised with a central server once the connection is re-established.

VP of marketing Jim Wilson comments: 'The ability to gather data on a portable device without an Internet connection is a key request of many of our customers which include individual researchers, academic and non-profit institutions, market research firms, and small to large businesses... We are certain this added feature is going to make the experience of users much more powerful, flexible and effective, and will expand greatly the use of the software in parts of the world where ubiquitous networks are not available.'
