Toluna Hires to Boost Quality and Innovation

April 18 2011

Online panel and survey tech firm Toluna has announced two senior hires: John Bremer joins as Chief Research Officer (CRO) and Peter Shafer as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions.

Peter ShaferBremer was previously CRO at Kantar firm Compete, Inc. Prior to this he worked at Harris Interactive where he was SVP, Global Representativeness and Co-Director of the Center for Innovation; developed the company's proprietary propensity score weighting technique; and produced successful election forecasts in the US in 2000-2008 and in the UK in 2005-2010. Toluna says the appointment underlines its ongoing commitment to quality and technological innovation in online research.

Shafer joins from full-service public relations, ad and comms research company KRC Research. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience, from marketing and sales leadership positions at the Gallup Organization and Harris Interactive. His new role includes the development and launch of new and leading edge tools.

George Terhanian, the firm's President, North America and Group Chief Strategy Officer, as well as a former colleague of both men at Harris Interactive, says the two hires 'reflect Toluna's ongoing commitment to providing superior solutions to clients in North America and worldwide.'

Toluna, which includes dedicated practices for the healthcare and media sectors and for tracking work, has its head office in France and offices in the US, Canada, the UK, The Netherlands, Romania, Germany, India, Australia, Japan and China. Its key products include PanelPortal, BrandSpector and QuickSurveys.
