In Germany, Andreas Kösters has been appointed to the management board of TNS Infratest, replacing Bruno Hötzel who steps down to focus on his role as Director of TNS Central Europe.

The remaining board members - Hartmut Scheffler, Winfried Hagenhoff and Peter Braun - remain unchanged.

Kösters joins from the board of scientific publisher Springer Science+Business Media. He began his career in corporate development with Bertelsmann and was subsequently CFO at Bertelsmann Construction Information Group, then CEO of the B2B publishing group of Springer Science+Business Media in 2003. Most recently he served on Springer’s board, with specific responsibility for activities in Asia and for publishing and sales in the US and Europe.

Judith Passingham, TNS’s CEO Northern and Eastern Europe, says Kösters’ demonstrated insights and experience will support the firm’s ‘ambitious growth plans’ in Germany. She adds: ‘Bruno Hötzel has made a great contribution to the success of our German business in recent years and we are delighted that he will continue to support our growth in Europe.’
