Mindshare Names Analytics Leader

Mindshare has appointed Richard Lawrence to the new post of Leader, Business Science & Marketing Analytics for North America.

Richard LawrenceLawrence joins the WPP-owned media and marketing services network with an extensive background in research, corporate strategy, analytics and process re-engineering.

Most recently, he worked at IBM Global Business Services in New York as a Partner heading up Business Analytics and Optimization - responsible for assessing market and competitive conditions, and developing new consulting and software offerings.

Prior to this Lawrence was an EVP at Analytics Partners, a Partner at Accenture and Anderson Consulting (in the US and Europe), and VP at Information Resources Inc (IRI). He began his career in advertising in Colorado before moving to Texas for brand and product management roles with PepsiCo's FritoLay division.

In his new role, Lawrence will focus on developing more 'systemic, data-fueled, analytics-based initiatives'. He is also tasked with reviewing and helping evolve the agency's offering across business planning and related strategic services, including analytics, research, technology and infrastructure.
