YouGovSiraj Opens Pakistan Panel

June 20 2011

Dubai-based YouGov Siraj has announced the launch of a proprietary, research-only online panel in Pakistan.

The firm says the launch is a response to its customers' needs to understand Pakistan's growing middle class with their increasing spending power, and the views of those in a country 'rarely far from the front pages, due to its strategic location and well-documented troubles'.

The panel currently has 10,000 members and is expected to reach 30,000 in early 2012. The company - a subsidiary company of YouGov Plc in the UK which applies the same online methodology - has a MENA (Middle East and North Africa) panel of 250,000+ members, and now operates nineteen proprietary online panels across the region, including Pakistan.

CEO Sundip Chahal comments: 'Since we started offering sample only on our panels in the Middle East, demand has been phenomenal. As well as MENA countries, some of our clients often have a requirement for Pakistan that no reputable panel provider can satisfy. Given our background and opinion polling heritage, we believe we are uniquely positioned to be able to understand and accurately portray the voice of the Pakistani people, through our own polling'.
