Mancx Raises Cash for Info Exchange Platform

June 27 2011

Stockholm-based information exchange platform Mancx.com has completed a Series B funding round, bringing the total amount received since its launch in April to $1.1m. The new funds will be used to further develop the platform and drive an 'aggressive marketing push'.

Henrik DillmanDescribed as a 'sort of classified ads site for business intelligence', Mancx.com is pitched at business people who need answers, and people who want to make money from their knowledge. The site allows users to meet anonymously to trade information - from simple questions to complex business information requests, for which sellers are paid a predetermined amount.

New investors include Bo Axel Ax:son Johnson and Nils-Robert Persson, as well as Swedish angel investor Per-Arne Nordlander, who remains as both investor and Chairman of Mancx.

Mancx co-founder and CEO Henrik Dillman (pictured) comments: 'We are delighted to have so successfully closed our second round of funding, as this will enable us to continue our growth, expanding our online marketplace for personal knowledge.'

The firm has also appointed Jonas Bergström, previously the lead developer of online gaming provider bwin, as Head of Development.

Dillman says the appointment will enable Mancx to further build on its patent pending solution while exploring further apps, widgets and improved functionality.
