Tobii Launches Consultancy Service

July 14 2011

Eye tracking specialist Tobii has launched a service combining technology with 'expert consultation', which it says will give market research firms a new way to offer eye tracking to customers without the need for upfront equipment or specialist staff costs.

Tobii Launches Consultancy ServiceStockholm, Sweden-based Tobii develops technology that makes it possible for computers to know exactly where users are looking. The firm recently launched a new testing solution, which it claims is the first to be specifically designed for usability studies on mobile devices and mobile apps.

Its latest 'Tobii Insight' consulting service has been developed to help clients build in-house tracking knowledge, and, when appropriate, use Tobii's outsourced services such as study design, data collection, analysis, and complete end-to-end services.

By using this service, the firm says that researchers will have access to the most up-to-date eye tracking hardware and software. It will also enable clients to build their internal eye tracking expertise by tapping into the skills of Tobii's own staff.

Tom Englund, President of Analysis Solutions at Tobii explains: 'Our goal in developing Tobii Insight was to create a service that will allow more organizations to use and gain the benefits of eye-tracking research. We anticipate this service also being a great asset to our current customers, who may need to augment existing in-house capabilities to support larger-scale, global eye-tracking projects or add eye tracking as a core offering in their portfolios.'

Englund says the new service makes it easy to add eye tracking to studies of packaging, shopper, communication and digital user experience.
