Tealium Launches DIY Site Tagging Tool

July 28 2011

US web analytics firm Tealium has rolled out new DIY software which enables users to add, remove or modify web page tags which collect data and drive search engine optimization.

Mike Anderson and Ali BehnamTealium was co-founded in 2008 by former WebSideStory execs Mike Anderson and Ali Behnam. (WebSideStory changed its name to Visual Sciences, was then acquired by Omniture and is now part of Adobe).

Earlier this spring, former WebSideStory CEO Jeff Lunsford became an investor and was appointed as Tealium Board Advisor.

The new Tealium IQ solution provides marketers with a single 'universal tag' through which to manage all their digital marketing campaigns. Anderson and Behnam say that until now, most tag management solutions required IT involvement and JavaScript knowledge, while their new platform is the 'first solution' to allow marketers to manage 100% of the tagging themselves. They say it also offers faster integration with all major digital marketing vendors, from Facebook to Google Analytics.

'With the launch of Tealium iQ, we've combined the best tag management technology with the easiest, and most intuitive interface in the industry,' states Anderson. 'We're excited about helping companies simplify their tag management and streamline their digital marketing initiatives.'
