Get Satisfaction Gets $10m

In the US, online community platform Get Satisfaction has raised $10m in Series B funding, which it plans to invest in product innovation, distribution partnerships and the expansion of its service for global use.

Wendy LeaFounded in 2007 by Lane Becker and Thor Muller, Get Satisfaction offers a forum for companies' online conversations with their customers on subjects ranging from product development, marketing, and PR, to customer service. The firm, which is now led by Web 2.0 veteran Wendy Lea, has so far raised c.$21m since its launch.

Lea comments: 'Our view of social business is about customers becoming active participants in every aspect of the business, creating tangible value on both sides of the relationship. Get Satisfaction is built to create value from these conversations by transforming them from unstructured data into actionable insight that integrates with internal business processes and systems that support them.'

This latest funding has been led by InterWest Partners, whose General Partner Bruce Cleveland will join Get Satisfaction's Board of Directors.
