In Australia, customer analytics and data strategy consultancy Quantium has hired former eBay MD Simon Smith to launch Quantium Online, focusing on online shopping and eCommerce consulting.
Quantium helps companies use data to drive measured improvements in customer growth, financial results and shareholder value. The firm specialises in predicting customer behaviour and using analytics to make business decisions more scientific. It also offers the Market Blueprint database, which holds shopper information for more than two million Australians.
Smith joins from Pacific Brands, where he served as Group General Manager of the Homeware and Workwear divisions. Prior to this, he worked for Lion Nathan as Director of Strategy, and was MD of eBay Australia for eight years.
