UK Office and Hire for Genius

August 12 2011

US-based online b2b marketing and targeting firm Genius has opened its first overseas office, in Leeds, UK, and appointed Mark Donkin to lead it as Managing Director.

Genius helps B2B marketers qualify, identify and promote to high potential customers using automated marketing solution - and already boasts big brand UK customers including BT and Claranet. The firm rolled out a basic free trial version of its software last year, alongside a paid-for professional-level version, and now boasts more than 1,700 paying customers. Its portfolio of services includes campaign reporting dashboards, web site visit tracking and replays, and marketing analytics.

Donkin has worked in the software industry for more than ten years, and in 2004 set up Salespush Ltd, offering a cost-effective solution for managing and tracking sales processes.

CEO Sam Weber says the UK opening is 'an exciting milestone for the company', and describes it as 'a natural location for our international expansion'. Of the new hire, he comments: 'Mark is an entrepreneur who has extensive enterprise software experience particularly in aligning marketing and sales, making him an ideal candidate to head the office, manage our UK customers and expand our presence.'

Donkin says Genius' solutions fill a 'void' with sophisticated but intuitive marketing tools, and believes a big opportunity exists for its whole range of products from fre offerings for small businesses up to full-blown automated marketing solutions for large brands.

Headquartered in San Mateo, CA, Genius is online at www.genius.com .
