Former Starcom Research Head Joins Percept Media

In India, Percept Media has appointed former Starcom MediaVest (SMG) exec Srikanth Raman as Chief Planning Officer, responsible for driving consumer research.

Srikanth RamanMumbai-based Percept Media is the media planning and buying arm of entertainment marketing firm Percept Ltd.

At marcoms giant SMG, Raman was General Manager of the Mumbai office, heading up research and strategic planning initiatives for the StarWiz analytics arm. Earlier in his career, he served as Media Director at Carat Media Services, and held the same title at marcoms group Mudra.

In his new role, Raman will be responsible for leading Percept Media's alliance with analytics firm Pointlogic, which offers advertisers intelligence services from custom research to ROI modelling, targeting and segmentation.

CEO Shripad Kulkarni, to whom he will report, says Raman is the best person to take forward the exclusive tie-up with Pointlogic, and adds: 'Srikanth's varied background across critical branding portfolios will add tremendous value to Percept Media, which is a young company growing at a break neck speed.'
