AudienceScience President to Step Down

August 19 2011

Jeff Hirsch, the President of behavioral targeting technology firm AudienceScience, is leaving at the end of September to 'pursue smaller entrepreneurial interests' by helping start-up companies get off the ground.

Jeff HirschUS-based AudienceScience (formerly Revenue Science) offers an 'Audience Gateway' technology platform and a targeting marketplace, which record billions of 'behavioral events' daily from more than 386 million unique Internet users.

Hirsch joined the company in 2006 as Chief Revenue Officer, and was promoted to the role of President in 2008. Later that year, the company added the CEO title to his responsibilities, but in May this year, the CEO role was handed to former COO Jeff Pullen.

Hirsch previously held senior management roles at ValueClick, and co-founded Fastclick and his own software company Xymox Systems, which he sold in 1995.

When he steps down, Hirsch's current position will not be filled, but his responsibilities will be assumed by Pullen, the firm said in a statement. Hirsch will continue to sit on the AudienceScience Board as a non-executive Director.
