GfK's McLaren Appointed VP at Ipsos

In the US, Ipsos' digital and media specialist arm, OTX MediaCT has appointed ex-GfK man Mark McLaren as Vice President of the Syndicated Services Team.

Mark McLarenMcLaren will be responsible for the division's LMX Longitudinal Media Experience portfolio of products, which monitor US consumers' engagement with media and new technology. He will also be involved with ConsumerMaps, a study offering multi-media brand equity evaluation.

Prior to Ipsos, McLaren worked at GfK Mediamark Research & Intelligence, leading international expansion initiatives for syndicated products, and managing an RFID passive print measurement project. Before working in market research McLaren was a music supervisor, conductor and pianist on Broadway and with National Touring companies of musical comedies. He holds an MBA with statistics and marketing from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Julanne Schiffer, the division's SVP and MD, Syndicated Services, says McLaren is: 'a proven leader in activating and extracting value from robust databases of syndicated insights for clients and global research organizations' and adds: 'We're thrilled to have him on board to spearhead the continued development of our syndicated service offering.'
